What's it all about?

My name is Kim and I'm currently studying a Diploma of Library and Information Services at TasTAFE in Hobart, Tasmania and I work at the Glenorchy LINC, which is a suburban branch of our State Library.

A major part of our school assessment for units on Exploring Learning, is the creation of our own blog, where can evaluate, question and report to our fellow classmates on new and emerging library technologies and the fabulous future.

I believe personally, that as a library professional, one of the greatest benefits for myself and my clients is to be open to change, learn all we can about new technologies and practices and to help our clients to understand and embrace the challenges that this brings.  I hope that I can explore and develop techniques and possibilities in this blog to assist me in this philosophy.
