Creationistas - Australian Copyright Is Broken

Copyright is something that we all need to be aware of and keeping an eye on while we are creating our blogs, but here is something I didn't know.  Australian copyright law makes most online creativity impossible.  This fabulous video by The Creationistas certainly opened my eyes to the difficulties we face in this country.

Australian copyright law is under review.  We need a fair use amendment to allow creativity in this exciting digital age.  Fair use is in play in the US and other countries.  Why not here?

News.com.au explores the issue further in this editorial.

The Creationistas are working towards educating people about the restrictions of Australian copyright law and encouraging Australians to get involved in lobbying for law reform, particularly the inclusion of a "fair use" clause.  Their videos are creative and entertaining, plain English and explain copyright law in a way that we can all understand and appreciate. Whether you are interested in getting on board their law reform agenda or not, the videos on the site are an entertaining way to learn more about current copyright restrictions in Australia.
